5) Save some money. “Check with your insurance company to see if you'll qualify for a reduction on your homeowner's premium by having a security system installed,” advises MetLife spokesman David Hammarström. “Most insurance companies provide discounts for installing the kind of security system that notifies police and/or fire automatically.
