Classic Thriller Starring James Stewart: Rear Window

Using film clips and interviews, "The Suspenseful World of Thrillers" covers such topics as the origin of thrillers, stylistic conventions, the classic Hitchcockian theme of a wrongly accused everyman, the range of female roles, as well as the creation of classic movie villains and much more.

Not only is there outstanding narrative along with the clips, there are also interviews with such genre masters as author Ken Follett, Bryan Singer, screenwriter Diablo Cody, David Koepp, and more, including film historians, directors and experts in the genre.

To accompany the special, the network will be screening some of the greatest thrillers ever made Friday nights throughout October. •
