BIOGRAPHY

With more than 35 years of experience as a geriatric care manager, consultant, lecturer, professor, and caregiver to thousands, Marion Somers, Ph.D.—aka Doctor Marion—is an expert in elder care topics, trends, and solutions.

Doctor Marion holds a MS in Recreation Therapy from Lehman College (CUNY) New York, and a PhD in Human & Organizational Development with a Specialization in Gerontology, Retirement, and Special Populations from
Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators, the American Society on Aging, and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
